Water World is an aquatic paradise that is situated on a picturesque 5-acre property on the banks of the Kelani River. It is home to a rich collection of over 500 different species of fish and crustaceans. The fauna and flora that I saw in freshwater, marine, and brackish water ecosystems come from all over the world, giving an unmatched variety of aquatic life.

Rare and fascinating species can be seen at Water World, including the Arapaima, which is the largest freshwater fish in the world, the Lungfish, which has real “lungs” like that of a human, the Electric eel, which is the world’s most dangerous electricity generating fish, and Freshwater sting rays from the Amazon River.

Water World is definitely one of a kind since it is the only facility in the area that provides the exhilarating opportunity to see beautiful eagle rays and magnificent sharks in action. This makes it a one-of-a-kind attraction.

The impressive attractions at Water World include a walkway designed to look like a cave that is over 800 feet long, a Shark Dome that contains 110,000 liters of seawater, and over 10,000 living aquatic organisms. In addition, there is a walking path built to look like a cave that is over 800 feet long.

The Underwater Tunnel Aquarium is the main attraction of Water World. It was presented to the public in 2013, and to my knowledge, it is the first of its sort in South Asian countries.

Other activities available at Water World include riding boats at the boat yard, hand-feeding fish, and having a hands-on experience with marine animals at the “Touch Pool.” Live diving performances with sharks are only offered at Water World when the circumstances are appropriate for diving.

A trip to Water World is sure to turn out to be much more than the ideal, action-packed vacation for a family to enjoy together. It is certain to be both an unforgettable educational experience and a thrilling contact with the marvels of the natural world around water, and both of these promises may be taken at face value.
