If you are looking to avoid the crowds, it is best to visit the bridge during the off-season (May-September)

The best times of day to visit the Nine Arch Bridge in Sri Lanka for optimal lighting and fewer crowds are:
- Early morning (around 6am). The light is soft and golden at this time of day, and there are fewer crowds.
- Late afternoon (around 4pm). The light is warm and golden at this time of day, and the bridge is backlit by the sun.
- Early evening (around 6pm). The light is soft and diffused at this time of day, and the bridge is reflected in the water below.
